today it is me again Till. the trip today was form nowhere to nowhere but we made it through another state and are now in New Mexico. We came through Carlsbad and went to see the Carlsbad caverns which are just huge. I went down quite a bit and Zenni managed to talk her self into going into it to the point where she still could see the entrance. The later was tacked down rapidly again. The ride today was a very nice one but a wet and cold one. It went to almost 6000 feet but with plenty of rain and fog. This pretty much continued all day. Gear kept us dry but after a while the cold got to us so we called it quits after 230 miles today. Roswell is by the way the UFO sighting city of the US. I only found out about it after checking into the hotel.
The bad weather is also the reason why we don't have any photos today to post it was to bad to get the stuff out.
tomorrow we are off to Santa Fe.

Till, we miss you terribly! We've tried to duplicate your second hair style on Tambra, but even with glasses, she's no Till! I'm enjoying your updates and am living vicariously through you and Zenni. Glad you're staying warm, dry and safe. I can't wait to read about your trip to the Grand Canyon and esp. Sedona. Breathtaking adventures await you!

During my Texas yrs I followed kind of the same route- Austin-San Antonio-Big Bend-El Paso-White Sands and then the Carlsbad Caverns.
Never made it to Santa Fe but should be very nice from what I've heard.
Anyways tried to reach you on yr cell today but I guess you're still asleep (I called at 3 PM) or cruising.

till you went ahead and got that haircut without me! oh well, i guess i was dragging my feet. it'll probably be a mop-top again by the time you get back to FL. enjoy santa fe, i've heard good things. hope the saddle sores aren't too bad
