Our time in Santa Fe was very enjoyable, nice town center, great food,unique art and architecture. After meeting two new companions Michiel from Holland and Michelle from Chicago, we decided to travel to Taos together. The drive was just breathtakingly beautiful.
In Taos we decided to go to some noncommercial hot springs which means there are out in the wilderness. With our self drawn map in our hand we followed narrow paths, climbed rocks and passed also huge caves. Because of the remoteness we felt like the caves were just discovered by us. Anyway after our hike which ran next to the Rio Grande we rewarded our self by jumping in hot mineral water. It was so pleasant. In fact it was so relaxing that we didn't realize that we where comfortably hugged by darkness. Also the bats flying in and out of the caves which were located right above the hot spring seemed to be bigger at night.
With this nicely created ambiance we tried to find our way back to the car. Of course we couldn't find our little path so we were forced to hike through bushes and even bigger rocks and rain. We made it save to the car. What an adventure all packed in one visit to the hot springs.

Till, you guys look like you are having a blast. I wish I was there with you. Bill Beard says you are dead to him as he wishes he could dump it all and take off on a trip like yours. wow, ich habe gerade nach einer arbeitsreichen Zeit in einer kleienen Schlafpause intensiv Eure Reise angeschaut, vorher immer nur kurz über Amelies Schulter, superklasse!!! Ich bin total begeistert von Euren Bildern und Berichten. Till, Dein haircut ist jetzt beim idealen Reisezustand angekommen. Sieht gut aus. Amelie vermisst Euch schrecklich und Lilli sagt alle 5 Tage, dass sie wieder nach Amerika will... "aber aus eecht, Papi!... Owo und Nana waren zu Lillis Geburtstag hier, wir hatten eine gute Zeit. Da ich ja bekanntermassen eine Kommunikationssau bin, möchte ich etwas verspätet nochmal loswerden, wie schön ich es fand, Euch beide bei unserem Besuch mal richtig kennen zu lernen! Möge die Macht mit Euch sein, weiter gute Reise, "bis die Tage!" wie der Hamburger zu sagen pflegt. Liebe Grüße, Dirk

Zenni, Du schreibst so klasse, mach 'n Buch draus, frag Mr.Quante senior nach seinem Netzwerk! Und Dein Musical gib mir, ich kenn hier ein paar Leute im Theater, wir teilen, Du 30, ich 70%, okay?
Bin gespannt auf die nächsten Stationen, jetzt lern ich endlich auch mal Amerika kennen, dachte da gäbe es nur New York??!

Aufregende Sachen, die ihr da erlebt...Bilder sind Suuuuper.
Fahren heute zur buckeligen verwandtschaft nach Michigan, via Cleveland. Mal sehen wen wir dort noch so alle treffen. Good old Heimat in Ohio, wo wir mit euch beiden mehrere Jahre (als Westside-Nachbarn) verbracht haben.

Incredible!! Your pictures and your adventure are simply incredible. I especially like the hot springs. I missed you in Vegas and I missed going to the Grand Canyon on our annual hike. Back at home and back to work now. I did ride my motorcycle to work today.
